Queen Rose Hiking Trail - How to get there
From Gauteng (Johannesburg/Pretoria):
Take the N4 Highway to Machadadorp (220km),
Turn right onto the R54,1 after 2 kms go left through the town towards Badplaas. After 48km at the T-junction turn left onto R38 to Barberton,
At the Barberton 40km road sign carry on for 6.5km, then turn right through the white gate posts.
From Nelspruit/Barberton:
Take the R38 to Badplaas,
At the 40km road sign carry on for 3.5km, then turn left through the white gate posts.
From the white gates:
After 6.5km, next to a dam, turn right onto a dirt road, signposted Queensview Hut,
Pass the compound and footbaal field on your left, and after 2km go left to Queensview Hut,
After 1.3km, keep left towards Queensview Hut,
Follow the road for 4.8km and go left to Queensview Hut or follow the signs to Makęsh Hut.
